Folio Weekly, Northeast Florida¹s weekly news and opinion magazine is looking for an Art Director. Ideal candidate will be a highly-creative leader, deadline-oriented and able to multi-task. A strong portfolio with both editorial and advertising samples is required.

Skills Required

Proficiency in Max OSX, Adobe CS5, working knowledge of QuarkXpress is a plus.
Drawing and/or illustration abilities ‹ multi-tasking, problem solving and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of networking and printer set-ups.

Additional Skills (but not required)

Interfacing with Editorial and Sales departments in the generation of editorial and advertising layouts – Construction of book layout.
Concept and design weekly covers and editorials.
Sorting and cataloging camera ready art and Interfacing with press managers.
Layout proofing
Construction of house/special/event/promotional materials.
Construction of web graphics
