Web Designer

Description

Local company is seeking a web/graphic designer to create and implement graphic elements and advertisements for web and email promotions. Our company manages and operates amusement parks nationwide, with the corporate office located in Jacksonville, and we are looking to expand our in-house creative department. Please include your salary requirements and portfolio samples for consideration.

Skills Required

  • BFA/BA in art or design related field or equivalent degree
  • 2-3 years graphic design experience, with emphasis in entertainment industry
  • 1-2 years of user interface experience for web and email
  • HTML/XHTML, CSS and Java skills required, basic CMS knowledge needed
  • Excellent proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Mastery of the MAC platform required
  • Practical knowledge in font management and file format differences
  • Print technology experience and creating print-ready materials required
  • MyEmma experience a plus, but not required
  • Be able to meet deadlines for multiple projects within a fast paced environment
  • Works well with a team, highly motivated and creative thinker
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Previous experience in a corporate environment

Responsibilities

  • Design or create graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, specifically in web and email media to include:
    • Website designs and website advertising
    • E-Blasts
    • Print materials to include direct mail, flyers, posters, business cards
    • Display Ads
    • OOH
  • Post approved graphics to websites, while maintaining the site’s layout and overall design.
  • Produce high-quality/press-ready materials to send to print vendors for press as needed
  • Designing brands/logos to promote specific events and/or attractions
  • Create projects from concept to finish
  • Effectively organize work to accomplish each project goal
  • Manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
