AIGA Jacksonville invites you to our 23rd Annual Student Portfolio Review. This year’s action-packed 2-day event begins Friday evening, April 13th, with a keynote presentation by award-winning designer Dan Kuhlken of DKNG Studios. Saturday students have a chance to present their portfolios (final as well as work-in-progress) to local design professionals for constructive feedback. Students not reviewing are still welcome to attend Friday’s lecture and observe the review Saturday.

Message from Dan

Hello, my name is Dan Kuhlken, co-founder of DKNG Studios. On April 14th I’ll be speaking about my company’s history and body of work. Primarily known for our gig poster designs, DKNG has been creating artwork for the entertainment industry and clients like HBO, The Black Keys, and Phish for more than five years. I plan to go into detail about DKNG’s creative process including concept development, illustration and design, running a studio, and trade secrets for future poster artists.

DKNG Studios

Established in 2005, DKNG is a design studio based in Los Angeles, California, with a focus on the music and entertainment industries. As musicians themselves, Dan Kuhlken and Nathan Goldman first collaborated in high school as bandmates and later as a design and illustration team. In addition to concert posters, DKNG designs logos, music packaging, apparel, and digital media. Please visit their site at dkngstudios.com.
