Live Art Event at Downtown ArtWalk
Welcome to another Atomic Sketch fundraising event for AIGA Jacksonville that consists of a panel of AIGA Jacksonville members who will be sketching, drawing, painting, inking, etc. – feverishly throughout the night – offering those works for sale at affordable prices, anywhere from $50 to FREE for an amazing piece of art! It’s a great place to start an epic art collection and meet some amazing designers/artists! This event is live, so come on out, watch art in its creation and support your local designers!
Discover Design Mentoring Program
In addition, AIGA Jacksonville’s design mentoring program “Discover Design” will be showcasing the work of the high school students who participated this past year. Come see the creative work the students, paired with a graphic design professional, collaborated on creating a project called School: By Design.
Mentoring teams examined school “ecosystems” from the student’s point-of-view, re-imagined a more sustainable school, and created an appropriate design solution. The program challenged students to use design thinking to explore and create solutions for pressing social problems.
