AIGA Jacksonville teams up with the St. Baldrick's Foundation for Shave It For Kids' Cancer 2010!

Help AIGA Jacksonville and St. Baldrick’s shave the way to a cure for pediatric cancer. On Saturday, May 8, St. Baldrick’s will have a shavin’ shindig like no other at Nemours Children’s Clinic – with games, face painting, door prizes, entertainment, a silent auction, arts and crafts and more! Heroes will shave their heads to show solidarity with children with cancer and to raise money for childhood cancer research.

AIGA Jacksonville will be on hand to face paint and will donate art and design work for the online silent auction. Pediatric cancer is the #1 killer of children so we’re lending our artistic talents for a cure!

What began as a challenge between friends has grown into the world’s largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. To date, over 135,000 volunteers have shaved their heads in solidarity with kids fighting cancer at more than 3,500 emotional events in 50 states and 25 countries. St. Baldrick’s donors and volunteers made possible over $12 million in funding for childhood cancer research in 2009.

Donate art/design work to raise funds via online auction.

The auction will be concluded and announced live during the event on May 8th. Funds raised through the online auction will represent AIGA Jacksonville’s team monetary goal of $1,000. Or if you prefer, visit our Team Page to donate toward our goal.
