In this panel discussion, JAMA and AIGA, the professional association for design, Jacksonville Chapter will present a panel of three graphic designers & one marketer to discuss the role that design plays in marketing and best practices around marrying the art of design with the business of marketing.

As CEO, Jan is responsible for overall agency management, with each operation of the agency reporting to her. Jan is a graduate of Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Fla., with a BFA in Graphic Design. She enjoyed a seven-year publishing career prior to founding BroadBased, including positions at Florida Trend and Mutual Funds magazines.

Caron is currently a creative specialist in marketing (a 3-person department) at OptaComp, the workers’ comp affiliate of BCBSF. In addition, she works one day a week supporting GuideWell, a new start-up at BCBSF, and Circana Health Passport, an inbound medical tourism company that is a subsidiary of BCBSF. She also designed the 2011 employee BCBSF Diversity Conference logo and signage.

Caron is also a freelance food blogger and host of Bite Club with Folio Weekly and is a freelance graphic designer with clients including Advantage Small Business magazine, Thomas Marketing Consulting, Lichlyter Consulting, Best Buddies, Engineered Lining Systems, and more.
